Yoga
My gentle yoga classes are designed to help you slow down and reconnect with your body. Through simple, mindful movement and breathwork, we gently guide the attention away from the noise of everyday life and towards the experience of being in the body — helping to quiet mental chatter while softening, grounding and easing tension. Each class ends with a deeply restorative final relaxation: śavāsana.
Classes are suitable for beginners and intended to be a warm, friendly and non-judgemental space for everybody and every body.
Rather than following one particular style or lineage, my teaching is influenced by the idea that yoga should support the individual.
I’m especially inspired by the teachings of T. K. V. Desikachar, who believed that yoga should adapt to the person — not the person to yoga.
Other influences include Vanda Scaravelli, J Brown, Leslie Kaminoff, Donna Farhi, Carolyn Cowan and Peter Blackaby.
